Reinforcement of a protective seawall on Île de Ré

AFITEXINOV assisted Entreprise CHARIER TDD Atlantique Vendée in the reinforcement of the protective seawall of La-Couarde-Sur-Mer (17) on Île de Ré.
In this splendid setting, the objective was to ensure rotational stability on the continental side of the seawall in areas 6, 7a and 8, thereby guaranteeing its resilience in the face of future flooding.

The NOTEX GX geogrid was installed over 1,500 m² to :
- ensure optimal friction with the fine soil embankment thanks its small mesh structure ;
- improve the safety factor in terms of the long-term stability of the seawall ;
- guarantee that the product is made in France and ASQUAL certified ;
