ALVÉODRAIN F - Vertical drainage of engineering structures

Marquage CE

Utilisation

When building engineering structures, efficient drainage must be implemented at the rear of the structures to ensure the lifespan and safety of the structure.

ALVÉODRAIN® F limits hydraulic pressure at the rear of retaining walls with a view to preventing any water accumulation at the back of engineering structures (bridge abutments, retaining walls, side walls, etc.). The presence of water can create additional constraints for the structure, which must be taken into account during the design phase. Furthermore, the presence of water in contact with concrete must be limited.

In addition to drainage, mechanical protection may also be advisable to avoid damaging the wall when installing the embankment. ALVÉODRAIN® F combines its two functions (drainage + mechanical protection) in a single product and is approved by SNCF for all engineering structures.

Certification

A FDES has been published (Fiche de Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire / Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet)  and is available here

Avantages

  • Its alveolar structure allows for a high void ratio and, as a result, more efficient drainage
  • Very good crush resistance
  • Easily and quickly implemented
  • Reduction in carbon footprint by avoiding the use of granular materials on site
  • The thermally bonded non-woven filtering geotextile prevents fine particles from entering the drainage layer and promotes the sustainability of the system
  • It is easily connected to the collector at the bottom, without having to be coated in drainage material
